Available Training During your week at Camp Yawgoog
IOLSIntroduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS): Working as patrols, this hands-on course provides adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain the First Class rank. Along with Scoutmaster Specifics this course is required of all direct contact leaders registered in Boy Scout Troops and Varsity Scout Teams, in order to be considered "trained".
Fee: $50.00 Tuesday 7:00 pm until Wednesday 5:00 pm. Meet at the Shea Shelter Unit safety workshopUnit Safety Workshop: We are offering a 1-hour Safety Workshop for troop leaders. You will learn about and review key strategies to keep Scouts safe in your troop activities year-round. Each troop is urged to have an adult leader attend so that your troop is current with all safety protocols. There is no fee for this training. Thursday at 2:00pm Meet at the Medicine Bow Dining Hall
