IOLSIntroduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS): Working as patrols, this hands-on course provides adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain the First Class rank. Along with Scoutmaster Specifics this course is required of all direct contact leaders registered in Boy Scout Troops and Varsity Scout Teams, in order to be considered "trained".
Fee: $50.00 Tuesday 7:00 pm until Wednesday 5:00 pm. Meet at the Shea Shelter Unit safety workshopSafety Workshop: We are offering a Unit Activity Safety Awareness Workshop for unit leaders. We will learn about and review key resources available to keep Scouts safe in your activities year-round, such as the Guide to Safe Scouting, age-restricted and prohibited activities, available online trainings, and Incident Reporting procedures.
