We hope you and your family are healthy and well. The past few months have been trying and we want to thank all of you that have extended warm words and thoughtful notes, especially after our decision to not have in-person summer camp program this year at Yawgoog. We are truly grateful to have such a strong support of individuals and families who care so much.
Although we will not be able to move forward with our previously planned summer camp program this year, the key staff have been putting together an exciting opportunity for all those that love Yawgoog and those that may have never crossed through that majestic gate. We are very excited to share with you what we have in store and what we will be launching in June.
By subscribing to The Yawgoog Network you will gain access to all the content presently being generated by our very dedicated staff here at Yawgoog Scout Reservation. The program runs Monday through Friday and a Saturday night show each of the eight weeks. Subscribers will have access to all of the program for the entire duration not just a single week. The Yawgoog Network will start on June 29 and run continuous for eight weeks. Participants can sign up individually or as a Troop. Ideally Troops should pick one of the weeks and augment our program with virtual Troop activities or in person activities if your local authorities allow it. Our program includes but is not limited to the following; religious services including Friday evening Jewish services, Monday opening campfire, flag raising and lowering, scavenger hunts, baking and costume contests, wild edibles hike, pond exploration and videos on hidden or out of the way places at Yawgoog. We will also be offering demonstrations by our Ranger and Food service staff. Other demonstrations will include; rope-work, pioneering skills, wilderness survival, flag etiquette, first aid skills and much more.

A Scout joins a Pack because somewhere he or she saw or heard that Scouting provides the excitement of camping in the great outdoors. The Scout wants to share that excitement with buddies in a den as part of a pack. This is what a Scouit expects. Parents like yourself hold the key to fulfilling this understood promise. You can unlock the door to adventure so that one day that Scout will say, “ It was all that I had hoped for and more!” Register now
This program is designed to help Scouts grow in self-confidence and self-direction; develop leadership ability and the strengths expected of a leader, and to afford them the opportunity to test their merit as potential staff members. The program includes orientation, observation, and participation in camp leadership and introduces scouts to new challenges. A great way to prepare for a career on the Yawgoog Staff.

Founded in 1916 as “A Scout Adventureland Forever,” Camp Yawgoog is situated on 1800 acres of beautiful wilderness in Rockville, Rhode Island. Yawgoog is divided into three separate Camps: Three Point, Medicine Bow and Sandy Beach. All three camps share reservation program facilities. For example, the Nature Center is located in Camp Three Point, but is available to all Scouts on the Reservation. Each Camp has its own traditions – a color, songs and cheers – but all three Camps offer the same opportunities to Scouts. The atmosphere of healthy Camp competition is a unique aspect of the Yawgoog experience. Yawgoog Scout Reservation is a part of the Narragansett Council, Boy Scouts of America. The Council is a member of the Rhode Island Association of Camps, and subscribes to its principles of operation.
