That's right, for the first year, eligible Scouts can enter their name in the lottery between April 9 - May 20. This sign-up will not guarantee participation in the program but will show your interest in participation. Scouts will be selected by a random lottery. Selected Scouts will be notified June 1.

The Big 6Who: All Scouts are eligible to sign up in accordance with the BSA ATV guidelines. What: Scouts will have the opportunity to explore a phenomenal off site location, and have the opportunity to complete horsemanship merit badge within the normal program hours camp already has to offer. When: Monday-Thursday: Meet at the Donald north Court by 8:40 am or 1:40 pm. Week 4 and 6 Thursday afternoon program not available. Horse riding time between 9am-12pm and 2pm-5pm. Where: Scouts meet at the Donald North Court at 8:40am / 1:40pm depending on time slot chosen. Scouts will be transpoted to Stepping Stone Ranch in Escoheag, RI (15 minutes away) Why: Learning how to ride a horse is a once in a lifetime opportunity and could be a fun way to have less stress between merit badges. Cost: $250 per participant (there is no fee to enter the Horsemanship lottery, there is a limit to 10 spots) |
