You will be able to participate in Staff Banquets, Steak Roasts, and a Six Flags trip. In August, take a night out to the Washington County Fair. Don't forget to attend the staff auction, ice cream socials, and nacho palooza with a bonfire on the dam. We're already looking forward to our annual staff swim carnival too! Scholarships
Each year, our staff commit themselves to a summer at camp, and still have to finance schooling. In this 2023 season, we are excited to provide over $40,000 in scholarships to our staff in college! Staffing Areas
Directors: Each program area is headed by a qualified director. Some of these positions such as the Aquatics, Nature/Ecology, Shooting Sports and Climbing Directors must be certified from the BSA's National Camp School. Other directors are selected for their unique qualifications for that program area. All directors are required to be age 18+, and some must be 21+. Age requirements appear on the application. Program Staff: These are the most public Camp Yawgoog members as you see them every day working on merit badges, first class skills and other fun activities like sailing and archery. Program staff members must be 15+ years old to serve on staff. Support Staff: These are the members of the Camp Yawgoog who work behind the scenes like the kitchen crew preparing 3 wholesome meals a day, reservation services that see to Troop’s needs, trading post staff who supplies your extra nutritional content each day and office staff that help to make everything come together. The minimum age for staff varies by the area being served. Check the age requirements on the application. |
