ATV

For the second year, eligible Scouts can enter their names in the lottery between May 15-20. This sign-up will not guarantee participation in the program but will show your interest in participation. Scouts will be selected by a random lottery. Selected Scouts will be notified June 1.

Participating in the ATV program provides Scouts the knowledge and skills to safely drive an ATV. Lunch will be provided! All participants will receive an ATV long sleeve t-shirt, patch and certification!

REQUIRED BEFORE PARTICIPATING
To ensure that Scouts are ready to ride please bring the following four items to camp:
Participation and Hold-Harmless Agreement​
ATV ASI Waiver
ASI ATV Covid-19 Waiver
E-Course (bring your completed certificate to camp with you!)

ATV Safety equipment

Long Sleeve Shirt or Jacket
​Gloves
Long Pants
​Over the Ankle Boots
All proper safety equipment is required to ride an ATV. Additional gloves will be available for purchase, and extra, long sleeve shirts will be available at the trading post. Please come prepared to ride!

The Big 6

​Who: Scouts 14+ are eligible to sign up in accordance with the BSA ATV guidelines.
What: Participating in the ATV program provides Scouts the knowledge and skills to safely drive an ATV, and you will also be one of the pioneers in this new program offering at Yawgoog Scout Reservation.
When: Sessions are available during normal merit badge sessions 9, 10:30, 2, and 3:30.
Where: Meet at the Shea Shelter on the Curtis Tract.
Why: Certified instructors will teach Scouts how to safely operate an ATV on the Yawgoog ATV Training Course. After completing the training, Scouts will have an opportunity to explore the Yawgoog backcountry like they've never seen it before!
Cost: $50 per participant (there is no fee to enter the ATV lottery)
