Barbecue 2012
The final step in the Yawgoog planning process is the Barbecue for Scoutmasters and Senior Patrol Leaders the Tuesday prior to your arrival at Camp. Great food, great fun and great opportunities to finalize your Troop’s program await! This is the last informational session before Camp, so it’s very important.
If your Troop leaders are unable to attend the Barbecue or to send a suitable proxy, be sure to mail in your Program Request Sheet AND the enclosed Challenge Card two weeks and two days prior to your week at Camp. In other words, they’re due with your final payments! This gives you Program Commissioner plenty of time to schedule your events.
If you are planning to attend the Barbecue, please complete and return the enclosed SM/SPL BBQ Reply Card with your final payments… sixteen days prior to your arrival at Camp. Food will not be available for those Troops failing to return this card. As Chief Yawgoog used to say: No tickie, no chickie!
Program Requests for all Troops are processed at the Barbecue; the PCs schedule mail-ins alongside in-persons, so there is no advantage to mailing in a Request Sheet. Indeed, we highly recommend that all Troops send at least one representative to the Barbecue.
The Barb’ begins at 6:30PM on the Donald North Court at Camp. Please plan to arrive around 6:15PM to check in at the Bucklin Memorial. Activities should be over by 8:30PM.
